Akiva Niran is finally entering her senior year of high school. These three years have been tough at Community Tech High School, but she made it. However, her last year in school comes with many more challenges; between her brother coming of age and getting more attention from girls, to her cousin dealing with her relationship with a boyfriend that is way too old for her, Akiva is giving a lot of her prayer time, wisdom and herself to her family.
On top of family drama, Akiva’s dreams of dating the smartest, hottest, and most gracious guy in school (James) are threatened by a beautiful, popular cheerleader, Shawny, who will go to any lengths to make James her man. As Akiva learns of James’ secret crush on her and rumors start to spread about their “soon to be” relationship, Akiva meets another boy, Alex, whose looks could knock her off her feet. Does she choose the guy she believes she is meant to be with and deal with fighting off his “personal fan club”, or does she tempt fate, and take the unfamiliar route that leads to Alex?

This book was based off of teenagers and granted yes some teenagers are mature but the way the author wrote the conversations of the characters it was more a conversation that' adults or college studentswould be having than high school teenagers. To me this seemed to be the Christian version of Ni-Ni Simone's "Shortie Like Mine" but Ni Ni's book of course being the better book.Product details

I love this book so much . The ending made me tear up. I'm sad that the book ha came to an end
This book is about a teenage girl who struggles with having sex or to stay a virgin while being a senior in high school. When she meets a great guy with the same values and beliefs that she has she messes up by going out with another guy. James and Akiva gets pretty close to each other since they are the perfect match but did she give up her goodies to him when caught in the moment? The author has a good book on her hand if she took more time out to stop preaching a start teaching through valuable lessons.
Akiva have this cousin that she just don't get along with because of the different stages of life they are at. But when the cousin wanted to change her ways Akiva was there to give her lots of sciptures in the bible that talks about fornication. Also Akiva did the same thing to her brother which I think turned both of them off in a way. There is nothing wrong with sciptures but there is a problem with having them making you feel like less of a person which of course GOD is not like that. He is a forgiving GOD and we all fall down but it is when you get back up that you see clearly. So should you buy the book? Maybe, It really depends on where you stand in life some people this book might make you feel less of a person and some might be uplifted. Choice is yours I just wanted to give you a little in sight on what you are getting yourself into. Hope this helps!
loved it! gave great insight to what young christian deal with & how to build a closer relationship with God
This was a great read, I read this book in one day! I feel that this book was well written and relatable to both the teenage and adult audience. The author has a unique way of expressing christian morals and values in a very down to earth way. I would definitely recommend this book.
that was a waste of money i most definitely didn't like it.if i could go back and reconsider buying this book i would and i wouldnt buy it
I love it, I like Kiva she reminds me a lot of my self this book. Could teach me a few lessons about teenager love in high school maybe?(
This book I highly recommend it is a must read for teens. If you are a Christian homeschool parent and you want your children to know how to handle being a Christian as a teen and still stick to your Christian values. You must add this to your curriculum. My daughter enjoyed it because it is very relatable. It captures the heart and mind of a teen. It's fun, clean and parent you will know your child is safe when reading it... I suggest every teen read this book, it's very good!
